Undefeated in the Cape Ann League with a record of 16-0.

After defeating Hanover 59-53 and Masconomet 46-44 in the postseason, fell to Holbrook in the Class D state semifinal game at the Boston Garden 89-79.

Defeated Salem, Stoneham, and Swampscott on their path to the state finals. Defeated Greenfield 4-1 to be the first HW boys team to win an MIAA State Championship.

1947 HAMILTON HIGH SIX-MAN FOOTBALL
With an undefeated 8-0 record, they were crowned State Champions of the Massachusetts (Eastern) Six-Man Football League.
Defense allowed an average of 7 points per game.
Members include: Bob Brooks (HB), Gelean Campbell (E), Harlan Clock, David Gardiner, Warren Hatt, Roger Merry (E), Bob Poole, Jim Tate (HB), Henry Tobyne (QB), Bob Trussell, Alvin Whipple (C, captain), Mr. Carl Martini (Coach).

With an undefeated 8-0 record, they were for the second consecutive year crowned State Champions of the Massachusetts (Eastern) Six-Man Football League.

Ranked 4th in the country out of over 5000 teams, they extended their winning streak to 19 games.

Set a national record scoring 334 points (while allowing only 84) for the season.

Scoring 446 points (while allowing only 72) for the season, this team broke many of the records set during the 1948 season.
